Welcome
To coincide with the article on PC heat, this edition has been dedicated to forum posts on heat and heat related issues.
Extreme Cold
If a fan is just not enough to cool your system, check out this section of the Hardforum. Phase change, Peltier cooler, liquid Nitrogen, dry ice, ect.
Thermal Paste & How To Use It
I saw this handy guide in the Tech Power Up forums. Putting some good quality thermal compound between your CPU and heat sink can significantly lower your CPU temperature. My CPU temps dropped almost 10 degrees Celsius from doing this.
Too Hot To Handle
I noticed two threads at Anandtech that mention hard drives that are too hot to touch. A lot of people focus so much on cooling their CPU and video card that they may not have good ventilation around their hard drive. Hard drives can and do get hot and that can lead to problems.

7900's Clocked Too High?
Apparently many users have been having problems with their 7900 cards locking up. It turns out to be in cards that are "factory overclocked" or have a higher clock than the default 7900GT or GTX. You can read about the issues in this long thread at Nv News as well as a response from NVIDIA. It seems to be a combination of driver setting, poor case cooling and an over zealous factory overclock.
Poll - Cutting Back On Distrupted Computing
Distributed computing projects like Folding@home run you CPU at 100% full time. This also increased the heat output of your computer full time. Check out this poll at the Tech Report to see what people are doing to reduce the heat caused by distributed computing during the summer months.
