Lossless Audio Formats
If you are looking to convert your CD collection into something smaller but don't want to sacrifice quality check this thread at Ars Technica. Many formats like MP3 strip out some of the sound to make the file smaller, so if you really can't part with the pure CD quality another format is what you need.

NVIDIA & Unified Shaders
While we may not see anything using unified shaders this year, there is an interesting thread over at Beyond3d discussing a recent NVIDIA interview. It seems that a lot of the information so far amount to rumor and speculation, but it's a good technical discussion on what may be the future for PC video games.

LCD Cleaning
The days of splashing your CRT with Windex are coming to an end. Cleaning a LCD is a lot more difficult and can easily lead to damage. Check out this thread at Tom's Hardware for some tips. The main problem is that most regular cleaners can damage the soft plastic screen on a LCD, so be careful.
